Looking back at Nnena Kalu’s workshop

On Saturday 23 April ActionSpace artist and exhibiting Radical Craft artist Nnena Kalu, ran a workshop at Pallant House Gallery as part of the events programme for the Radical Craft exhibition.

With 12 people in attendance, we spent a joyful afternoon turning the studio into one big installation. Using Nnena’s favourite materials; tapes, wool, ribbon and cling film we played with and explored the materials before we worked collaboratively to construct a large wrapped space. An interactive and visually beautiful large scale piece was created, that was torn down, rolled into a ball and rolled out of the building at the end!
